Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!
I have taught at the North Hanover School District for over twenty years. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know your children and support them on their academic journey. I promise them the best of my experiences, both in and out of the classroom, as well as my ongoing professional development.
Prior to my family's move to the area, we lived in Germany where my husband served in the United States Air Force. He is currently retired. I worked at the Department of Defense Dependent School (DODDS) on Spangdahlem Air Base. My passion has always been children and laying the ground work for them to be independent thinkers and successful in life.
The classroom environment and atmosphere are both very important to me. I want my students to feel safe, comfortable, and energized to expand their learning into new areas. I anticipate mistakes, suggestions, and questions. I expect their best behavior and effort, in and out of the classroom. We will have lots of fun learning our world in social studies and exploring in science. We will challenge ourselves in math and become better readers and writers. Participation and preparation through completing classwork and homework is key. With support and guidance at home, students will surely have a successful year
